| “In the early 1900s, outdoor pioneer Millican Dalton quit his conventional 9-5 routine in London to pursue a life in the open in Borrowdale Valley, in the English Lake District. He lived life in his own way, chasing romance and freedom from his cave on Castle Crag.”

Absolutely loved this short by Ricardo Serrano, reflecting on the idea of how each door is a new opportunity to experience something new.  With monologue based on the poem, “The Door” by Miroslav Holub, the short combines so many elements I love into an inspiring little piece!

| “Go and open the door, if there’s a fog, it will clear.”

It’s been a while since I’ve posted something from Zen Comics (or anything other than videos for that matter!) but I thought this was quite appropriate!

| “Are you aware of your inner signals? Do you trust them? Have you taken control over your life into your own hands?”

David Foster Wallace was undoubtedly one of the greatest minds of our time, who we ultimately lost way too soon. In the video above, he speaks on worship and what it means to worship different things. It’s an amazing reminder that in a world of self-celebration and personal freedom, there are still those who realize the power and importance of living for others.

“The sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”   -Carl Jung

Came across this quote last week and couldn’t get it out of my head since.  The idea of purpose is one that seems to be passed around from person to person, but a simple statement like this puts it in perspective (even if slightly!) Check out more on Carl Jung here.
