It’s no doubt that GoPro has become one of the most widely-used cameras to document life’s adventure, but what’s even better is that their customers do all the marketing for them! GoPro recently released the GoPro 4 (complete with 4K capabilities) and has managed to continue in the vision of what their company is all about – life’s adventures.

“No matter where you were 5 years ago, I hope that today you are closer to your dreams.  I know that everything hasn’t gone exactly the way you planned, it hasn’t for me either.  But our job isn’t to plan.  Our job includes 3 responsibilities: 1. To dream 2. To believe that dream is attainable 3. To work hard everyday towards that dream.  Let God handle the rest.”

J. Cole has successfully made it into the top 20 list for the wealthiest artists that exist at the moment. Dream, believe, work hard, and let God.

I’ve been a huge fan of what Gavin has created over at ZenPencils for a while now, and figured this was a perfect opportunity to stir the pot from the usual videos that have been going up recently.  In a nutshell, Gavin takes inspirational quotes from well-known people and turns them into comics and cartoons, and has been incredibly successful at combining the two!

In the cartoon above, he adapts the quote from a commencement speech that Shonda Rhimes (screenwriter, director and television producer) gave at Dartmouth (seen here.) In it, she gives incredible advice on not only following your dreams, but understanding the work, persistence, and sacrifice that goes along with it.  Talk is cheap, action is not!

| What is adventure? I’m not too sure we know these days.

I know I throw this word around a lot here, but this was INCREDIBLE (and to be honest I sure hope I throw this word around a lot, because that’s the type of content I’m always looking for SN#7!).  The visuals, the poetic contemplative conversation, it’s all incredible and says more 3 minutes than most of us can say in a lifetime.  Inspirational on so many levels:

“Adventure is curiosity, The willingness to embrace uncertainty, wonder about the possibility of doing just one thing differently than before”.

Have a good weekend, folks.

In honor of iOS 8, here’s something worth thinking about:

|“We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and every one should be really excellent.  Because this is our life.  Life is brief, and then you die, you know? And we’ve all chose to do this with our lives.  So it better be damn good.  It better be worth it.” – Steve Jobs

Great stories are the meat and potatoes of Silo Number Seven, there’s never been a question about it.  The only standard I have for content on this site, is real media that matters: emotion, thought, and a message. With that being said, Eliot Rausch is no stranger to producing moving footage that embodies all three qualities.  Check out the above!
